This amp has many sweetspots, so I tried to capture what I can..they like to be pushed hard, and this is no different, due to the 1×12 I was at first not able to capture the actual sound dimension with a 57 and a 121, so I swapped the 57 to a SM7b and had that instant lovable sound, Loving the Pushed profiles here for great singing Blues Lead tones. and smash it into Full for some indi rock tones. – great with the 2nd switch on a strat.

What you Get…
This amp is great, and a perfect rendition of the showman on steroids. bit extra bite and sizzle (but not the bad kind), it now sits perfectly in the classic rock genre and actually has great sustain for a classic amp!. – If you want that Classic tone, use the fully cranked profiles, and use your volume knob.. if its a bit bitty for your tastes then use the 2nd switch on a strat, or middle position on a tele. – the cleans are bright. so pick soft!. – another one of those amps you will want to play loud!.

This amp has lots of tonal options. brilliant on max, and it likes it here. – rolling down the volume on a full profile is different than using a pushed profile so use the options available wisely. – the amp doesn’t have verb, just an amazing tremolo that the Kemper cant replicate. – my advise for this is to DIG in, lots of open chords are very pleasing on this. perfect for lead play too.

What you Get…
Not as much “balls” as its big bro the 20, but equally as great in the areas it can cover. – for the all out show Id take the 20, but for jamming and and crispy melodic work in a small band I’d use this. its a lot more closed sound, due top its size, the in the room sound is not as pleasing, so I hyped this up with fat old mics to make it sound bigger than it is. add a trem and relax!

What you Get…
The verb has the greatest breakup, its pushed profiles are simply melting – playing low volumes here wont do it justice, so take this to a open room and turn the volume up, its quite a dark amp generally, but the highs are still fantastic when you get them, might need to dig it a bit, and use different pickups to find the right tone your looking for, a versatile amp for sure. brilliant for blues licks and brill for chord work. – even better with “spring verb!

Clean sound is not this amps party-trick, you will want to run this on 11 and keep it there… everything on full and just play..don’t get me wrong it does everything else really well, but just the full is so inspirational for classic zep sounds – tiny bit of verb added for a bit of space. and just rock out! – nothing more to add really!

What you Get…
you wont get Van Hallen from this, but you might get a bit of Gilmour, or Hendrix. – its a brilliant amp that whilst high-gain and strats are very rarely paired together, this works great for those moments. (really good actually) I loved it. but needs taming, so play with volume knob and try different pickups for good results. – you need to work for this amp.. so Dig in!..

What you Get…
One of my favs from this pack, great chime and a ton of bounce, its a easy amp to play and very forgiving so you can be sloppy as you like, (hence why I liked it) – good for lead and chord work so choose your style and play, add a bit of verb for some nice ambiance while riffing. – try striking hard open chords and bell like tones appear in a pleasing way, use different pickup positions to find the secret source. any amp setting works for me here, so pick and choose, set and forget…

What you Get…
Nice cleans and rock type tones, but its not a classic amp in my eyes. – can do the entire modern rock thing with it though, if that’s your cup of tea!. – i liked the pushed and crunch settings, but the drive is a little fizzy for me.. I tried to remove as much as I could. but that’s just the way the amp is.. the Pushed profiles are great for a little jangle. – might be best to run it clean/pushed and use your fav overdrive pedal in front.

Great cranked sound, pushed is more of a thick blues lead sound, I got a lot of jason becker/John mayor sort of sounds from this. and that’s a good thing. – try the pushed profiles for dynamic playing, and the cranked/full for injection for lead work. – pretty amazing amp actually. – cleans are great, try adding some chorus/Vibe to them for a warm classic sound.

What you Get…
Overdrive is very brittle/saggy, but if played right its amazing.. you need to understand this amp, and work with it for a bit. play softly and you don’t play this amp like other ones, its hard to explain, but I’m sure you will get the hang of it eventually, and when you do get it.. its almost that eureka moment!.. – I for one am IN LOVE with this thing. but at first.. I was disappointed by it..this and the Tungsten amps are similar but this is a lot darker in comparison. – Think clean to low gain here, and play softly, plenty of nice verb with a long tail, and it will be sweet!.- play with fingers for a Knoffler vibe!.

What you Get…
Grab your fav Strat/tele, load up the pushed/crunch profiles add some verb and a sprinkle of chorus for that satana sort of sound, really does this very very well (the breakup) – you can use a more aggressive profile of this amp and use the volume on guitar for some fatter pushed profiles. but that might make it a little too thick for lead work if in a band context, well try it and see.. – Cleans are great too!. the amp on full is ok. but not where it sings the best!. – this amp didn’t really do it for me on a LesPaul though, and that’s a shame. – your views maybe different here, and I hope they are!

What you Get…
Don’t run this too hot, it gets fuzzy if you do!. – again, thicker sounds use the crank profiles and back of the volume. this adds such great dynamic playing to it. and warms up amazingly well, highs are great too. – for clean, it offers that seductive warm tone, but whilst the tone is still bright.. it appears full bodied – try changing different pickup positions for a varied tone or twang.. i.e I prefer this amp on cranked and using position 2 on my Strat. really adorable blues riff machine!.

push it!.. then push it some more.! – good chimey stuff if you use a Strat/tele, but darker and moody like if you use a Lespaul. so it can cater for all style guitars really well. – not a high-gain monster by any stretch, but its fun to play, its best run on flat (everything up) so if you want different levels of gain, use a different profile… – cleans are brilliant on this thing. has all the chime in the right places!.. as I said think rock n roll!.. and your in the bag!.

Full cranked, strat, neck!. wow. use volume and tone to adjust breakup and tone. – can get that fuzzy lead sound with tone backed off, and some sweet slap-back delay for that rock-ability/surf sort of sound.. – its leads are thick, so better with SC guitars. – and its a rhythm machine for a lespaul. – quite a hard amp to play, as its notes are really well defined. no space for sloppy playing here!..

What you Get…
The Clean, pushed and crunch profiles are great, the full gets as bit brittle/harsh for my own taste. – the amp is a bit stiff to play, as its a fake amp (emulating valve amps) – so the dynamic proprieties are not there to begin with. but don’t let that put you off. – its still miced like the rest of them, and treated just the same. – I liked it a lot, its quite good fun. and can be quite versitile.!

Excellent amp for blues and melodic rock. – try the middle pickup, dimming the volume knob and playing hard. – then roll of the volume and play soft, its like 2 totally different amps!. – suhr cab came with Gh30, but I felt that was not the best match for it. things seemed a little harsh in the highs.. and not enough mid presence. – so I swapped over to Alinco Golds. and Bam!. that’s more like it!.. simply sublime!. this is a real workhorse. – needs verb though, and add some chorus for some singing lead sounds!.

What you Get…
This is a Very bright amp, as its a very saggy amp – Sag+bass = flubb, so it was quite a challenge to get the right ingredients into these. – perfect for the low/med gain chicken picking or slide guitar, and very good for lead play (Country or Blues), but do be careful, its a very sensitive amp you can play lightly and it will be darker, but dig it and it will make you bleed. – Twang using bridge, country lead and blues use neck. – you will need to understand the cranked drive on this amp, as its not like any other (apart from a D/13 JJS) style.
